scankurban
Time is 06:47 am.I found new registry tweak.I'm working on winternals erd commander 2003 registry. When I was want to update some keys.Registry editor "You don't have permisson to change value" .First time I dont understand, what happening.Than I read help files.Every key value have changable permissions. What is that mean.In my opinion for example If you change permissions to;[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]section.Any program can't write any value.like dialers, trojans, viruses or someone!Just select keys and Edit-->PermissionsNo need NTFS support for disk drives. This is great.Everthing under my control. un4given1
you are wrong about not needing NTFS, and you REALLY shouldn't be changing default permissions on registry keys. If you feel that is a way for you to be in "control" then by all means, go for it. But I think you are teasing the beast.

gosh
In some cases modifying the xp registry permissions could be a good idea. But in this case i don't think it would be a good idea to deny write to run. That would break about half the programs out there.-gosh
