Questions On Using A Bootable Dvd For Xp Install

I have a couple older dvd-rams that only write to 2.6gb dvd-ram cartridges and I can make them bootable by burning cd-iso's to them but most software doesn't support the 2.6gb size so I can't use the burn-dvd feature when burning iso's and I end up capped at 700mb roughly for total size. I just bought another dvd-burner that does the dvd-ram and also regular 4.7 dvd-r's. With this setup will I be able to burn bootable xp install cd's now with a capacity of 4.7gb or does the XP installer do anything weird to make sure you are running a cd only and do I have to put it in any special format or anything? Is there a limit on size for ISO-9660 which seems what every specifys must be the files system type.

Thanks for any pointers in advance!
