mj23449
Ok this is my first crack at making a multidvd install disc. I modeled my disc off of the magiciso.com website. This is of course before I found these forums. The DVD is setup and everything works fine. My problem is that during the graphical install phase of installing a Windows OS, lets say Windows 2003 Server Enterprise, it comes up and keeps asking me for the Service Pack 2 disc. By default it keeps looking in I386? When I point it to the correct folder it goes ok, but then immediately asks for the Windows Server 2003 cd. If I point it the correct folder again, it asks for the Service Pack CD again. It keeps doing this until it finds approximately 25 files at which time it completes the graphical install phase reboots and loads up Windows. The first phase, the text phase works perfectly. Its only after it copies files from the text phase, reboots and goes in to the graphical phase that it starts wanting the cds. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong and how I may be able to correct this. I've triple checked all of my work and cant seem to find the problem. Any ideas, help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help!
neo
There are some files at the root of Original CD like in XP WIN51, WIN51P and having also in Windows Server 2003. So U have to copy these at the root of DVD and in the same folder where I386 located.
pycur
Hi!I have the same problem.I want a multiboot dvd with all windows: 3.1, 95, 98, ME, 2K, MiniXP, MiniPE, XPSP0, XPSP2I made the bootdvd following this tutorial:http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-cre...multi-os-cd.htmI copied all files to the correct place, patched boot sectors, patched setupldr and txtsetup, but after the installer copies the files, restarts the computer keeps asking for the cd where are the files in I386 directory. It accepts when I enter the new path but it asks again for the next file...I used UltraISO and EasyBoot. Here is a shot from the menu http://magyaranime.uw.hu/link/dvdboot2.jpgBtw, any idea what to do now? Which rows i need to modify in the txtsetup, or patch other files like NTLDR? I found i386 text there too edit:Okay I found the answer:txtsetup.sif points to SetupSourcePath = "\SETUP\XPPro\" that contains the i386 folder for xp pro or "\SETUP\2KPro\" for win2k and "\SETUP\XPHOME\" for xp home and so on...put txtsetup.sif and winnt.sif in both root's "iWXP" and "setup\XP\i386".the $OEM$ folders are pointed to using OemFilesPath = "\SETUP\XPPro\$OEM$" in winnt.sif under the [unattended] section. WinPE is in i386 on the root of the dvd, and should boot. Edited December 10, 2007 by pycur
