Applying Settings To A New Install Of Vista

When I fresh install Vista, there are certain settings that I always apply. For example, I always turn off System Restore, I always turn off Remote Assistance, I always set Windows Updates to manual; etc.

What I am looking for is a way to automate these changes. Is this something .reg files would be good for?
