gday

ive got win2k3 going routing my internet using the rras and NAT, what i want to do is be able to deny internet access to a username also limit connection speeds to a username or computer, is this possible without 3rd party spftware?

thanx

login as user and configure internet explorer to deny internet access. You could enable QoS on a system but I do not believe there is a way to disable it per SYSTEM. Even with active directory you would be unable to do these items. This would call for some 3rd party software or a nice cisco router of some kind, and yet still that would be per machine and not user. Good Luck

It could be done within Active Directory with ISA server in Array mode...

But ISA server's licence price for the Active Directory version is like 6000$ US...
