How to install:

1. Navigate to c:\windows\system32\en-US for english or \NL-nl for Dutch and so on

2. Open the properties of the file "winload.exe.mui" and take full control of the file so you can move it or replace it.

3. Now copy the chosen bootscreen from the package and replace it with the one in the system32\en-US folder

4. Go to start > Run, and type "msconfig"

5. Choose the "boot" tab and enable "No GUI Boot"

6. Close msconfig and reboot your computer

Very cool. Anyone know how to make the boot screen take up the full screen, by chance? Right now it looks to be about 1024x768 (just a guess) while native res of my laptop is 1400x1050.

how do i take full control of that file? I go into the properties, but the "Full Control" checkbox is greyed out and I am not able to check it?

Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I am not sure how to fix it.

Thanks in advance...

first, click on an entry under "group or username" - preferably Administrations. Then click on Edit, then check full control.

The boot screen is nice but it's static. I like to see a progress bar. I need to change it back but after setting it, I'm too lazy to change it back right now.
