Hi, I'm having 2 problems as of late with XP Pro. The first one is I cannot access the Logical Disk Manager. Here's what I'm getting...

LDM%20Error.JPG

It says that it cannot connect because the service is disabled but it is clearly started. I've tried stoping and restarting the service but that didn't do anything. I'm not 100% sure when the problem started because I havn't used LDM in a while and the last time I used it, it worked fine.

2nd Problem:

In my "Add/Remove Programs" window I have a list of all my programes, however, when I go to click on one of them, there's not a "Change" or "Remove" button. This is the case with every program on there. I'm not sure when this problem started either but it's very anoying as I can't remove some programs...

Help Appreciated.

Welcome to MSFN.

To solve your first problem, start the LDM Administrative Service.

As for your second problem, Google found me this page.

For future reference, when in doubt... use Google. ;)

I looked at the link before however I can't seem to find the registry entries they're talking about.

Where's the LDM Administrative service located?

If they are not there, then create them.

Have a look in your screenshot you provided, directly under the one you highlighted.

Ah I see it. I didn't think that was a user startable service.

I guess I have some work to do finding all the uninstallers for the programs.
