Deleting takes 30 seconds

Sending anything to recycle bin, no matter how small takes about 30 seconds to delete and then emptying the recycle bin is slow as hell too. I used vLite to take out of the resources I dont use. Is anytone on them causing this ?

I went ahead and reinstalled Vista ... and everything is working perfectly !

Ok I restarted my comp to finish installing the updates and then when I restarted, same thing again.

Any other suggestions ?

Run Process Monitor while deleting, and see where the disk accesses are coming from during this time. Usually it's antivirus, but it could be other things.

My laptop does the same thing on a stock install. I'm so tired of it, that I'm actually considering loading XP back on it.

I'm experiencing the same although only occasionally, very strange... Have not yet found out as of why this is nor if there is a way to resolve, my best hope is for an update to fix this issue.

Edit: What background is that on your screenie by the way, very nice one -I would like it.
