First off, this is my very first post, so hi all :D

ok i just made my first disc and it seems to be ok, after i followed the guide on this website on how to make the unattended cd and then integrate programs into it that install automattically. I added several programs and setup the cd so it was unattended, but when i tested it, it wasnt so successful . I forgot that i needed the SATA drivers from the floppy disk that came with my mobo, and when i used that it says 'error caused by txtsetup.oem' which is one of the files on the disk. This happens too with the original win XP disk now - though it has NEVER done it before. Anyway, after taking the floppy out once and putting it back in, it works fine and uses the driver, then finds my SATA HDD. But then when copying the files starts, it tries to copy the SATA drivers first and it says it cant... This doesnt happen with the original WinXP disc. So i eventually just have to press ESC to continue cos no amount of retrying works. So it finishes fine, copying all the extra stuff i put on the cd too, but when it gets to the point of loading windows for the first time to run the initial setup, it never loads the windows logo and loading bar, but stalls for a min or two then BSOD's! (Blue Screen Of Death incase u dont know :) )

Please help - i dont know why it wont read the SATA drivers, but perhaps there is a way to integrate the SATA drivers to load on that preliminary blue screen setup so that i dont need to use the floppy, and hopefully it cant b***h that it cant copy the drivers :rolleyes:

thanx for reading this post any way and i really apreciate any help before hand :D

WORKS

your my savoir dude! :D

If only i could understand all your tech-talk in that thread... i think i understand :rolleyes: Do i want to change to:

[unattended]

UnattendMode=ProvideDefault

and put my SATA drivers in the i386 dir? Will the setup find those drivers automatically and load them or do i need to edit something else to tell it that those files are there?

but then will it still install unattended with 'ProvideDefault'? :)
