  1. First of all, I just want to say that I've looked at several ways of getting Nero to silent install with the seriel number and i cant seem to get it to work... Please please can someone help, because Nero 6 is one of the programs i really feel is essential to my Unattended XP CD...thanx for taking a look anyways, and huge thanx for any assistance in advance!
  2. hey dude, i got the one without the 'a' on the end i think - its on my NF7-S Rev 2 - can u tell me how u installed the drivers onto the windows cd please and if possible, can u send me the edited files cos that would save me an age dude!
  3. i have no idea, but i really want to get that '$OEM$\$1\Textmode dir working cos that would be the easiest if there's just some kind of switch to tell windows that you want it to use that dir - i.e: useTextmodeDir = Yes - if only it were that easy
  4. any findings on that 'textmode' folder yet? I cant find n e thing, but im new to this 'customised XP cd' scene
  5. dont u have to partition your hard drive with virtual pc, and doesnt that mean formatting n e way? Ive never used it before, but i guess it would be the most sensible way to test windows discs...
  6. sounds interesting... so you don't have to mess with the txtsetup.sif-file and just drop the drivers in this folder? can anyone confirm this? Im gonna try anyway - ive only just formatted my pc after failing to get my SATA drivers integrated onto the custom WinXP cd! edit: looks like it doesnt work Another cd wasted :/
  7. your my savoir dude! If only i could understand all your tech-talk in that thread... i think i understand Do i want to change to: [unattended] UnattendMode=ProvideDefault and put my SATA drivers in the i386 dir? Will the setup find those drivers automatically and load them or do i need to edit something else to tell it that those files are there? but then will it still install unattended with 'ProvideDefault'?
  8. erm, i have no idea - i didnt know it had a digital signiture, but i figure windows wont load the file without that signiture?
  9. ill see if i can do that - thanx for the info! - ill put my results on this thread in about 30mins probably
  10. i want to add my SATA drivers so that they load with all the other drivers when u start the windows setup from a boot cd - the setup with the blue background. Any help is greatly apreciated - thanx
  11. First off, this is my very first post, so hi all ok i just made my first disc and it seems to be ok, after i followed the guide on this website on how to make the unattended cd and then integrate programs into it that install automattically. I added several programs and setup the cd so it was unattended, but when i tested it, it wasnt so successful . I forgot that i needed the SATA drivers from the floppy disk that came with my mobo, and when i used that it says 'error caused by txtsetup.oem' which is one of the files on the disk. This happens too with the original win XP disk now - though it has NEVER done it before. Anyway, after taking the floppy out once and putting it back in, it works fine and uses the driver, then finds my SATA HDD. But then when copying the files starts, it tries to copy the SATA drivers first and it says it cant... This doesnt happen with the original WinXP disc. So i eventually just have to press ESC to continue cos no amount of retrying works. So it finishes fine, copying all the extra stuff i put on the cd too, but when it gets to the point of loading windows for the first time to run the initial setup, it never loads the windows logo and loading bar, but stalls for a min or two then BSOD's! (Blue Screen Of Death incase u dont know ) Please help - i dont know why it wont read the SATA drivers, but perhaps there is a way to integrate the SATA drivers to load on that preliminary blue screen setup so that i dont need to use the floppy, and hopefully it cant b***h that it cant copy the drivers thanx for reading this post any way and i really apreciate any help before hand
