Hi all

I have tried to "delete" the WINSXS Directory but it wont let me - protected files etc ......

Is there any way the Component Cache can be "dis-integrated" / "non-installed" in a future vLite version ?

I have a feeling that once IE7 and Component Cache and Optional Services are "dis-integrated" / "non-installed", the .ISO size will be around 300meg and the RAM footprint on bootup, will be at XP levels [ 150meg ].

The component cache is already listed in the current version o vLite (0.9) that it can be removed...

Only thing is it is causing major system instabilities with some people, and windows update doesnt work with it removed.
