I just cant..., i can drag them there, but i cannot drop them there, rest Drag and Drop funcioanlity its working alright...

I changed a lot of settings on nLite for the start menu...

Drag and Drop is enabled, i tried re-enabling, with it disabled, etc...

Anyone know which option it is that i changed on nLite and how can i solve it on my existing installation?

Did you check Remove Pinned Apps List from Start Panel?

Try this REG tweak:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoStartMenuPinnedList"=-

I dont think it was EXACTLY that, but reasearching a bit, it was on the GPEdit.msc and i could fix it, not exactly that option tho :P

Thx

Isn't the file or folder that takes care of start menu just flagged as readonly in filesystem?

OMG, Thank you so much DOM, I was searching far and wide to fix the exact same problem!

In case anyone needs more detail in how:

Start> Run... "GPEdit.msc"

User Configuration

--Administrative Templates

----Start Menu and Taskbar

Then chose (in my case):

Remove Drag-and-drop context menus on the start menu - To Disabled

Remove pinned programs list from the Start Menu - To Disabled
