mysteryone Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Hi All, I'm new to using nLite and slipstreaming. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was able to create a Windows XP (with SP2 already loaded) CD loaded with post SP2 udates. I also loaded the drivers and set the unattend on the CD. When loading XP as a fresh install, I get the following error message: "Setup cannot set the required Windows XP configuration information. This indicates an internal Setup error." "Contact your system administrator." If anyone knows, at what point in my process of slipstreaming with nLite did I mess up? Thanks in advance for the help.
Pina Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Well I got the same error. From my point of view this is caused by a wrong integration of one of the last ms updates from feb07. I think this has to be fixed in the next nlite release.
Pina Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Seems its caused by MS$. Take a look at this post http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=93009
rajesh.kumar Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 it is definitely with one of feb07 coz i tested few times and ascertained. im trying to single out the problematic fix and integrate the rest.
mysteryone Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 (edited) thank you so much for your help, guys. I'll go back in and remove that particular update and see if it works. Is it only that one update? Edited February 17, 2007 by mysteryone
