Chad7 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Hi Guys,I have been setting up an unattended install today for my University project, and seem to have got most of it right. I do however have the odd problem which i could do with some help on please! 1. Ive added SP2, the needed drivers for my motheboard (Intel D101GGCL), and a few of the Windows updates needed after SP2 has been installed. However when ive made the ISO file it is to big to burn on a CD! I managed to free some space by deleting certain driver files for Windows 98SE and Windows 2000 which allowed me to fit on CD but sureley i should be able to fit all the drivers (4 of) and all of the needed Windows updates onto 1 CD? I know i could use a DVD, but i just wondered is there anyway i can trim/compress it?2. Secondly the LAN and Audio drivers have installed OK, but the Chipset and Graphics drivers havent? Does anybody know why this could be? I also set my .sif file to have a resolution of 1028 x 768 but this doesnt work, could this be because the graphis driver hasnt installed properley!!3. Other than that my unattended install worked OK and the updates i set worked Ok apart from IE 7, and the malicious software removal tool, Is this something that i am messing up???Any help would be very much appreciated.RegardsSteve Chadwick

Yzöwl Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I fail to comprehend how my previous post may be construed as snotty! It's always exciting when I see persons responding to another Member, nevermind Moderator, in this manner, on their first few forays in our Community. Also, what would you expect to be the likely content of the Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003 forum within the Unattended Windows Discussion & Support section?
Chad7 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 Nope the art of reading is not lost upon me, otherwise i would not be able to reply to your unwitty comments would i? Is there any chance of some help or not please???
Chad7 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 I do however see your point! and will add my post in the correct forum!Cheers
Yzöwl Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 No Chad7, please don't!At this juncture you would be best advised to wait for this thread to be moved into the appropriate forum by an authorized person.Double posting is usually considered bad manners.
