sngilb
I am trying to get a webcam to work on Win2K3 Server.I am trying to setup a web Audio/Video chat environment (other than Live Messenger) where (at least for now) one of the parties is sitting at the 2K3 Server.I have seen some posts from several years ago relating to webcam use. There's even an article "How to convert your Windows Server 2003...to a Workstation!".So, I have enabled Windows Image Acquisition (WIA). It is currently running. I have tried to load webcam driver software from MS (LifeCam 1.1) and MicroInnovations (Basic Webcam/ArcSoft Software Suite).LifeCam stops and says it will only work on XP. ArcSoft install just fails.I have been able to load the drivers for the LifeCam directly and LiveMessenger sees the device. However, other software for web chat fails on startup. So, has anyone found a webcam and/or software to run a webcam on 2K3 Server with an install program that completes successfully?Thanks...S...
