THAT is not an OFFICIAL MSDN version. A simple google search told me it is a widely spread warez version...

You do realize that software is sometimes leaked straight from MSDN without the filename(s) being changed, right? :whistle: And anyways, gaelon proved that he got it from MSDN. ;)

hehe, i just want to prove that the iso image i used is the same as official msdn edition.

gaelon, please see the end of this thread. I am pursuing a problem myself that appears to be a case of a commented out line in an .inf getting processed. I will let you know what I learn as I debug. Enjoy, John.

EDIT: I failed to mention that I see you are using Vista to create an XP ISO. Some report problems doing this and integrating an SP will not work at all.

gaelon, the problem I was chasing turned out not to be related in any way to yours. Please see the last of this thread. If you still have a problem, please come back and let us know. Enjoy, John.

In fact, i did such works under winxp sp3 in another computer.

After reading other threads, making intl.inf to intl.in_ can solve the problem?

anyway, i'll have a try. and a futher result will be post later.

gaelon, this is simply compressing the file (done with makecab) and should make no difference. I'm looking again. Enjoy, John.

EDIT: I just took the original FONT.INF file and removed the same lines that nLite removed and inserted the "modified by nLite" stuff at the bottom and they (this and nLite's file) compared exactly. They are the same file. NLite has simply stripped out the blank lines and lines with a semi-colon ( ; ). This includes the line as follows:

DefaultDestDir = 20			; fonts dir

was replaced by

DefaultDestDir = 20

I don't know what the effects of removing the "; fonts dir" has, if any.

EDIT again: gaelon, I suggest you do the same with the INTL.INF file and see if they compare.

I have compressed the file (intl.inf) into intl.in_, then the iso file was made. During the installation, no problem happened. But the intl.inf in intl.in_ is the same as the original one.

I'll follow your suggestions. Further report will be post when i finish the work.
