Just to update this story, I got a call from the boss of this company yesterday and thanked me for the Win98 systems I built him. they fullfilled a need very well over the last couple of years. He now has some problem with cad files being too large for the DOS based CNC machines to handle and wanted to know if I knew of a solution, or if he'd be best to bite the bullet and order new machines.

I told him its probably time to bite the bullet.

All good things eventually come to and end I guess.

I guess there trying to cnc straight from the cad file which is only supported by the cad program itself @ x size, but not dos @ x size, How about converting the cad file to "G-Code", there are some good free converters out the, and the cad program will likely to export to DXF.
