deschan Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Just tesing one stuff called "Virtualbox" --> www.virtualbox.org... working under WinXP with Vista running as guest OS window.See if it helps!
Br4tt3 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I tired this a coupple of months ago.... I think this mostly comes down to the processor that u r going to run the virtual machine on....for being able to run x64 virtual machines ontop of a win32 or win64 host, I had to have x86/x64 capable processor + virtualization support instructions in the processor: a.ka Intel VT or AMD Pacifica..... otherwise, the host could install x64 operating systems, but it could not virtualize other x64 machines.... worked out for both VM-Ware server and MS Virtual server...
Dobby Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 VMware workstation 6 beta supports x64 host AND guest OSs as well as USB drives which is what I need. Unfortunately there is nothing else I know of that supports this. I say unfortunately because I don't like the way WMware installs all these virtual devices and memory resident stuff. Most other VM software doesn't need to do this.
Bitfrotter Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 @all,If you run Vmware workstation on a 64bits operating system it will support 64bits virtual machines. There is no other way at the moment.Greetings,Bitfrotter
