p4ntb0y
how do you want to boot the ram drive CD? RIS? or USB? I have a usb pen booting to ram and its allways letter x: easy to do and works well
ryarnell
I am booting from a CD and I get the X: dirve. I really want it to be the B: drive. Or create a new one that has B: as the drive letter. I have several scripts and programs that reference the B: drive. I could go back a re-write it all but it would be much eaiser to just have the B: drive there. Thanks,Robin

Br4tt3
hi!If u wanna move the WinPE 2.0 drive letter from X: to B: I think u are up for a big challenge. According to MS the driveletter is hardcoded.... then my guess it is somewhere within some .dll or something binary that u would have to edit. I have not done this but I guess it would be easier to just remodify ur scripts.
ryarnell
So then is it not possible to create a second RAM drive with a specific drive letter or can you only have 1 RAM drive at a time. If it is possible I guess all I need to know is how do you create one? Thanks again,Robin
gadget
Easy:Don't create a RAM drive, just create a folder on your x: i.e. x:\ramdrive then use subst b: x:\ramdriveI was toying with the idea of porting my pe1.6 ram drive over but this is much easier....
