Slow USB Boot sometimes?

Hi I have a winpe 2 on a USB Flash pen usb 2.0.

Now when I boot the usb on a nc6400 its fast I mean 20 secs.

When I Boot on a nc6220 or dc7600 its very slow?

All the kit is USB 2.0 and I have plugged the pen drive into the root usb.

Its kind of wierd? anyone had or has a workaround for this problem?

Some bios:es doesn't support boot in USB 2.0 mode. I have seen this on an umber of systems that the usb ports are operating in 1.1 mode until the os drivers forces them into 2.0 mode

Thats inrestesting I have to check this out, does this still apply if all my USB ports are USB 2.0?

Yes it does. Its a matter of what kind of BIOS your machine is using and the type of device you are using.

I see this behavior on devices that boot older WINPE versions in USB2.0 mode and now no longer boot in USB2.0 mode for the new WINPE. Sucks that the devices are just barely not Vista capable, so it will never get fixed.
