Blind
Is it possible to set up a DVD that is bootable AND rewritable?I would like to install all my other apps on me machine together with hotfixes, but not have to burn a new cd/dvd every time a new hotfix comes out or updated version of a program I'm using.Something tells me I can't do this do to the UDF (?) why of formatting a re-writable.Any suggestions on best way of doing this would be handy. Thanks
b0r3d
A bootable DVD Can be created, much the same way as a normal CD-R can, execpt (using nero) just select the Bootable DVD option, and insert the required bootloader (available from http://www.MSFN.org/unattended)As for a bootable DVD-RW, i dont see why not. It's read pretty much the same way as any normal DVD, except that the stuff on the surface of the disk is different, to allow erasing and rewriting of the disc. gajotnt
just make your ISO like you would do for a Cdr using WinISO (making the WinXP ISO) and burn do a DVD, it worked for me

Geckotek
I just did it Friday morning. No problems. Just burned to the DVD+RW then loaded it in a new laptop. Next time I have changes, I'll just burn again over the same DVD+RW.
