nLite error during Browse

Recommended Posts

I get the following error when I browse for the installation source:

Nlite.exe - Unable To Locate Component
X This application has failed to start because MSVCP70.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I can click OK and the program continues to run fine (as far as I can tell so far)

I've tried both the latest stable version (1.2.1) and version (1.3 RC2)

I've also tried "repairing" .Net Framework 2.0

I get the message in all cases.

(Searched the forums for that .dll and didn't find anything)

Anyone know what the fix for this is?

Sorry, I should have been more specific in my description of the problem....

I get the message as soon as I hit the "Browse" button, before I even go looking for the source. It comes up on top of the browse window.

Tried that, and still getting error :(

Program seems to run okay. I'm a first time user of this, and I have to say it's really sweet.

I've got it crunching an .ISO right now. I can't wait to try it out.

Not only does your tool simplify the install process for me, it also gave me access to tweaks I've always wanted but never took the time to figure out how to do.

Here's hoping it works :)

Then search the net for that file which is reported missing and copy it in your Windows\System32 folder.

Btw it's not part of Windows from the start, it's Visual Studio runtime, version 7.
