[Solved] Latitude CPx J Speedstep problem

Hello all

I have a really annoying problem happening. My father got me a DELL Latitude CPx J PIII 650MHz laptop. Unfortuneately, it's not reading the CPU right. It sees it as a 500MHz processor. I turned off Speedstep, I also tried setting it at Max Performance but to no avail. It still is reading it at 500MHz.

My question is, has anyone else had this problem? I've tried the speedstep software on DELL's website, but it wouldn't install. So I tried this SpeedswitchXP software and that didn't do anything either.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Solved. I enabled application compatibility for Windows 98 and it worked. Now my processor is 650MHz.
