brocher Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Does anyone have a screenshot or a winnt.sif file that i could have a look at. I have been pondering making the basic setup cd and adding some apps. Not too sure in what i have to do with this. I presume that i have to copy the software installation in to my xpcd folder but what do i name the folder that i put it in. I would like to install,XPPSP8office 2003 minus some appsAdobe Acrobat 6.0 Professionalwinrar to name a few. If someone could help me with the set up of these i think i could manage the rest. Many thanks in advance.

oioldman Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 very nice of cluberti to show you what a winnt.sif could potentially look like, not all that is shown may be relevant or of use.You would probably do well to visit http://unattended.msfn.org and follow that through. It has a very good guide to building what you are after accomplishingoh and welcome.
brocher Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 Many thanks Cluberti for you time. I will now try and modify to suit my needs. Can any one tell me about the other software i need to install. Where does it go in the xpcd directory? and do i need a batch file or something included in the winnt.sif to run them.
jbm Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 (edited) You'll find the answers to many of you questions at the link oioldman gave you.I'd also check in the Application install forum. Edited January 16, 2007 by jbm
cluberti Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I agree - now that you have a SIF file you can reference, read very thoroughly the unattended guide here, and visit and post questions in the unattended sections of this forum for anything else you need clarity on. Good luck!
