No alert after installing update

I just installed KB908519, and didn't get an alert box popping up afterward to inform me that the update was successful. That doesn't seem normal, and now I am wondering if the update was successful, got stuck, or whatever. Maybe the person who created the update goofed? Should I run it again?

Phil

P.S. I got the update via a link on this page:

These updates are made by Microsoft [all except NT4 patch].

The clue is in looking at the server name in the links:

download.windowsupdate.com

That is the M$ server where you can d/l Windows Updates [WU]:

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Therefore, you need to write M$ about these patches:

http://www.microsoft.com/contactus/

But the chance they will even respond or do anything about this is slim, please remember that M$ discontinued support for all 9x [Windows 95/98/ME] based OSes:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/support/endofsupport.mspx

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle/

It was also like this when installing the Telnet.exe MS99-033 security update for Win95/98. When installing this Telnet.exe update, it showed NO dialog box saying whether the update was successful or not.

pcalvert, check the version of t2embed.dll file in the \Windows\System\ folder. if the latest version was installed, then KB908519 worked.
