Bluetooth problems

trying to receive email and do some web browsing through my new Bluetooth dongle on my Palm Z72. I have installed it and it will sync through the wireless bluetooth. However, when I try to view email, or browse the web I keep getting "Error:PPP timeout (0x1231)". I have cable broadband and am connected though a wireless router to my laptop which is where the Bluetooth is plugged into. I have followed all the trouble shooting I could find.....looked on the palm website and the dongle website.....still cannot connect. Any help ??
