victortung Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I tried to create a unattended windows xp disc.I followed the step, and create the hotfix.cmd file.and everything works fine, and screen show all the hotfix files had been installed. However, when I go to windows update, windows update still asks me to install all the hotfixs again....Does anyone know why it happen?Victor Thanks
cluberti Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Are the updates listed in add/remove programs as installed, and do the kb******.log files for each hotfix show installation successful, or something else?
victortung Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 Nothing in Add/Remove Program.....However, even I ran windows update to install all the hotfixs, there doesn't have anything in add/remove program too
cluberti Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 You have to check the "Show Updates" box at the top of the window to see updates - they're hidden by default .
Jeremy Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I suggest you use RyanVM's Post-SP2 Update Pack in the future. It's a .7z file that can be integrated into your XP source with either the Integrator available on the same site, or by nLite.
