Display not turn off ?

I'm set the power plan setting to turn off display in 2 min and everting i'll be fine nothing problem

but display are not turn off when it past 2 min

please somebody have solution for fix this

i'm use laptop and monitor turn off fine in winxp

it's stay on but i'm have solution for fix this already

i'm must to install vga driver before use power management (like forceware i'm use geforce 7200)

it's will be work fine in the set time.

if driver not install it, monitor can't turn off automatically and screen saver aren't not work... (-- --"!

(i'm be know after the eneygy star feature not have in vista...)

strange you ask that. i'm having the same problem that my display does not turn off. however, my display does turn off automatically when i'm at the welcome screen (usually when i reboot). once i login and start playing around w/ the computer it then no longer works.

i've ran spyware and tried killing all processes and it doesn't help. do you have a fix? PS. I'm running Vista Ultimate x86.

Well, the power scheme at the logon screen is not the same as the one you use as a user (until you save it and reboot, then the last power scheme used is also used at the logon screen). If you are running as admin and disable UAC and set the power scheme and reboot, does it work? If not, I'd have to blame something running when you login, as the driver itself is obviously capable of sleeping .

Yes, it does work when i run as admin, disable UAC, and reboot. It even works oncei login and leave it idle. It only stops working when i start using the computer (eg. launching up applications).

I guess it must be something running when i log in. Anyway of finding out what it might be? I've already tried to kill all non system processes but it still doesn't work.

That's what I expected.

Consider running autoruns and shellexview, disable anything non-Microsoft in both those apps, and reboot. If the problem goes away, start re-enabling things a few at a time until the problem returns. This will likely end up being a trial-and-error of enabling and disabling things in these two apps to figure out who or what is causing this .
