Internet IN w/USB - Internet OUT w/ethernet. Possible?

I have a friend who lives in the country and can only get internet via a USB only Wireless satellite modem.

But he also has a set top box that needs to access the net via ethernet connection.

Am I able to connect the computer to the net via the USB, and then have the stb connect to the net via the ethernet port on the computer, like a loop thru? Is this even possible?

It is possible. It's called Internet Connection Sharing and if you right-click on the usb connection ---> properties ---> advanced you'll find a box saying something like "allow other computers to connect through this connection" or similar. Put the tick there then chose the lan connection in the drop-down box below and you're set.
