Norton isn't integrated into Windows. You can safely uninstall it and run SymNRT. You may want to do it in Safe Mode too.

I have spoken to DHoom off of MSFN and we solved the problem he had a corrupt file on the XP CD that was causing the problem, his computer was running fine on a diferent install off a different CD :D
