Ixon Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Hey allOkay I love this slipstreaming idea, especially because I'm on dial up and I reformat frequently. So I got atleast 67 updates downloaded to my hard drive - it's not all the updates available just the bare essentials to keep mt pc somewhat patched enough for me to install service pack 2.I tried once after I reformatting just installing service pack2 directly, and to'hell with the service pack 1 updates. After I restarted it locked up on the boot screen. So to summarize my issue, every time I reformat I gotta install 67 updates manually then service pack 2 before I can even start using my pc. I've tried slip streaming all the hotfixes to my install, then slip streaming the service pack 2 - same story, locks up on the boot screen before installation.I also tried just slipstreaming service pack2 and trying, same story again. I've wasted like 3 disks now and really don't wanna waste anymore because well - I'm a cheap-skate. I'm not removing anything or modifying anything. Just sticking the hotfixes in and service pack, sometimes just one or the other and still remain with the same results.HELP ME PLEASE!
