  1. Hey all Okay I love this slipstreaming idea, especially because I'm on dial up and I reformat frequently. So I got atleast 67 updates downloaded to my hard drive - it's not all the updates available just the bare essentials to keep mt pc somewhat patched enough for me to install service pack 2. I tried once after I reformatting just installing service pack2 directly, and to'hell with the service pack 1 updates. After I restarted it locked up on the boot screen. So to summarize my issue, every time I reformat I gotta install 67 updates manually then service pack 2 before I can even start using my pc. I've tried slip streaming all the hotfixes to my install, then slip streaming the service pack 2 - same story, locks up on the boot screen before installation. I also tried just slipstreaming service pack2 and trying, same story again. I've wasted like 3 disks now and really don't wanna waste anymore because well - I'm a cheap-skate. I'm not removing anything or modifying anything. Just sticking the hotfixes in and service pack, sometimes just one or the other and still remain with the same results. HELP ME PLEASE!

    Won't Boot Up..

Hey, Kay this is my first slipstream CD ever. I put SP2 on it and a few hotfixes and all the tweaks and what not (no drivers). Basically for me if this worked it would be the perfect configuration out of the box. But anyways, everything went smooth from creating the ISO to burning it. But after I booted from the cd, created a partition, the partition formated then it restarted and showed the windows xp boot screen (I guess this was the installation process) it just locked up on the boot screen. I waited but nothing so I'm clueless. I'm thinking maybe possibly one of my settings screwed it up that I selected from the nLite list or it's just being a pain like Microsoft products tend to be. Help please!? cheers
