Woomera Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 ok i can delete the administrator's document folder from my windows xp 64 bit.i tried giving all the users in my vista the full control over the folder and changed the owner of the folder to amin users(iclude my own user)but still cant delete the folder.it says i dont have the permission.any way to delete it?
Spooky Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 (edited) Try this; Log in as the Administrator, not a user in the Administrator group, then make sure the Administrator is the owner then delete it. You might also have problems deleteing it because theres a hidden file in the folder called desktop.ini which is active anytime anyone logs in not just the current user, so you might see a few complaints about it. Woomera Posted December 23, 2006 Author Posted December 23, 2006 thats exactly what i did.loggedin with admin account.made my account the owner and gave full control over the folder and sub-folders.and still cant.i wanna delete it cause i uninstalled that windows and i dont like the files i dont need to be on my HDD.
