Twisted Maniac Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 when i'm playing games like ut2003 my pc sometimes just freezes up for 10-20 seconds...i don't know what the problem is....does any1 have an idea?i got an AMD 1.4Ghz and a Geforce 4 TI4800SE...i'm running win2k....help!
Crispy Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 I have noticed that the freeze problem often occurs when the GFX runs short of ram. That was when I was on my Geforce 2 and was running with to mant details...But the 4800SE has 128MB ram, so I wonder if thats the problem... Anyway, try lowering the detail settings ... you might get lucky

darph Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 i think you have a heat problem look at the temp of the cpu and mainboard and if it is to hot change the cooler or you have shut down temp in the bios to low i had the same problem for a long time with my pc and after i changed the cooling system it works without any problemsso longdarph
