It has chipset SIS756+SIS964L which AFAIK is compatible with 98SE ...

Maybe even USB 2.0 will work with Maximus Decim drivers:

EDIT: Maximus Decim drivers mentioned above are of course USB mass storage drivers.

For SIS USB controller the driver that could work is the one made by Orangeware:

Use the same technique to mod the inf and you should be good to go.

Obviously, you'll be using the released drivers and trying to splice in the OEM hardware info, but I don't see why it shouldn't work.

Well, I will try to apply your trick to Windows 98SE drivers. I suspect

that there will be problems because Go 7300 is PCI-Express.

I suppose you *might* not be able to use all the features this card has to offer, but you should be able to get a decently close bang for the buck.

If you can't figure out how to tweak the drivers, then poke around this site: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

You'll see that there is a sort of *cult* in the nVidia crowd that is working hard at tweaking things to get them working. You may find something useful there also.

No matter how one "tweaks" the NVidia Forceware INFs, the drivers are completely different:

- NTx [2000/XP/2003/Vista] = NTx core specific, WDM model [*.SYS].

- 9x [95/98/ME] = 9x core specific, VXD model [*.VXD].

Therefore trying to install NTx drivers on a 9x OS [or the other way around] will not work.

Besides, 9x Oses support PCIx graphics interface only if specific motherboards/chipsets [+ eventually with specific drivers] are used. [?]

But there are 9x drivers for some GeForce Go cards [except 7xxx/8xxx series] at NVidia:

TurboCache is PCIx specific, and because NVidia never made PCIx drivers for 9x OSes, TurboCache doesn't work with 9x OSes.

I wasn't implying he tweak the Forceware drivers. I asked him to look over my steps for tweaking the Vista driver and apply the concept to the latest drivers for 9x if his card wasn't in the supported list.

Just FYI - the above mentioned entries are for AGP versions of those boards only.

If you got a CD with that Video Card, then find the INF from that driver to figure out what the PCI\VEN information is.

You may be able to splice in those values into the newest 9x driverset.

Don't be the least surprised if you don't get all the functionality the card has to offer - it's going to be a tradeoff of getting it to work in 9x.
