Pinned Items

Hello,

I know it's possible by using a registry tweak to remove both Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, but this tweak also prevents Pinned Items working in the future.

Idealy what i'd like to do is only remove Outlook Express (as i don't use it), is this possible, if so, how?

This is the registry tweak you want. acctually you can set your pinned menu how you like and then just export these keys and the menu will appear in the way you left it. enjoy

Thank you for your reply.

When applied this registry tweak replaces Outlook Express with 'Apps to Install' rather than removing Outlook Express only.

ps. The tweak was applied on an installed version of Windows, not during RunOnceEx which may produce different results.

Hi laze!

I used to have exactly the same problem as you, but I solved it using the method cumminbk described. What you want to do is extract your own settings from the registry rather then copying someone else's.

Go to

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage]

and extract it when you have your Start Menu set up the way you want. Delete everything from the created file except Favorites, FavoritesChanges and FavoritesResolve. When applied, you should see your pinned programs the way you like them.

I tried this out in Windows and it worked great, but it should work during T-12 too.
