duster1913 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 ok i have been having a problem that i am lost on. i have an internet connection and a server and a router and switch. everything has worked perfect up till the other day. All of a sudden my connection will drop on a few computers but not all of them. when i try to get out i will type in for example google.com and hit enter. it tries to load then the address ba goes blank and it just pops up with http:/// or i will type in google.com and hit enter, on the bottom it says trying to find site http://www.google.com then it changes to http://www.google.com.org? i have never seen this and im lost. I have just upgraded to ie7 on some of the computers, and all of them are doing it, but 2 of the ie6 are doing it too. any ideas?
cluberti Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 First thing to try - does the issue occur when using safe mode w/ networking?
neo Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 It has been happened many times with me.It happens due to Internet Connection, when Recieved not responding.
LLXX Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Type http://www.google.com in your addressbar, not http:///www.google.com.
duster1913 Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 no safe mode, just regular turning on the computer, all computers are maintained regularly. and none of them have anything in common 3 of them have ie7 others have ie6. it is just strange. if it is a case of this"It happens due to Internet Connection, when Recieved not responding." then what could it be, and how to fix? it is just strange that it only happens for 30 mins at a time and only once or twice a day.
cluberti Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 So are you saying the issue doesn't occur when in safe mode w/networking? If you have a machine with the issue, and you then reboot into safe mode w/networking, it doesn't continue? Or you haven't tried yet?
