eboyjones Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 This might seem like a dumb question, but since I don't know the answer, maybe not. Anyway does WinXP save a copy of Hotfixes and Updates on your PC that can be used for a later install or slipstream\batch file? If not can a person get them on CD, that is after SP2? Appreciate any help. I am on a VERY slow rural dialup and redownloading them all is not something I want to do.
IcemanND Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 You can download them yourself manually if you know the KB number. Or you can use the Windows Update Downloader made by a forum memberhttp://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=80713#
RyanVM Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 If you downloaded them from Windows/Microsoft Update, the extracted hotfixes can be found in %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution\Download and they can be installed by running update.exe in the update sub-dir for each hotfix.NOTE: There are a few useless files that get extracted to each hotfix' directory, but you can just ignore them if you're not sure which ones they are.
