Maka84
It's windows 2000 with USP 5.1 and i'll be using this computer for gaming, surfing and mp3/movies.I will be using firefox/thunderbird for surfing and email, is it safe to remove IE? can i still update somehow? Is OpenGL required for the newest games? Please give me suggestions on what i can safely remove, i'd like this to be as small as possible. rado354
Do NOT remove OpenGL, this will create you a lot of problems.Network:IP Conferencing - removeMap Network Drives - removeMSMail - removeNWLink IPX - remove if you don't use the IPX protocol for your LANTapi - removeOperation System Options:Command Line Tools - remove and set in the save box only: ipconfig.exe, netstat.exe, ping.exeEsent97 - removeExtra Fonts - removeFormat Drive support - removeOS2 - removePosix - removeServices:Distributed Transaction - removeMSMQ - removePerformance Logs - removeSecondary Logon - removeTCP/IP NetBios helper - removeJust to name a few I would keep application compatibility and 16 bit support. You either have removed some essential components or they are not available on Win2000 Edited December 4, 2006 by rado354
