decrease loading when boot

I would disable almost all the devices in the device manager except the vital ones (video card, keyboard, chipset, hdd and hdd controllers, mouse, etc.) - USB, 1394, sound, network card, etc. can be disabled.

One of the drivers might be hanging waiting for something.

I found my problem, all IDE not working good, still is good before (booting on 1 min)but still I hear sound on newer HDD (WD 80 GB & not installed on OS).any help??

P.S@cluberti:is you want dump file???

If you've found it to be a faulty hard disk, no, no reason to analyze the dump file yet. See if removing that disk resolves the issue (assuming that's not the hard disk Vista is installed on).
