papashex Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) Use gpedit.msc and navigate to:User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Driver Installationand enable the "Code signing for drivers" and then choose "Ignore". It sure helped me install my Nforce audio drivers. Where is gpedit.msc on vista 32? tried entering it in run dialog, with no success. search of drive does not find it either. (need to play with video drivers)Nevermind: found it is not included with VHP, Home being the key. Edited October 15, 2007 by papashex
Davidoo Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 command line is -- bcdedit -set loadoptions \”DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS”bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKSOk, I did this and it worked so I could install Rivatuner to check out some things with my video card. How do I re-enable the driver signing if I want to get Vista back to where it started? Substitute EENABLE for DDISABLE?????Thanks,DaveSo no one knows how to re-enable the driver signing????
LeveL Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Unfortunately, to completely bypass this limitation you should be running x86 VistaWhy, x86 also has the Driver Signing Policy!I should know, it popped up about sixty million times after I tried to integrate drivers into the DVD.I hate this OS.
Denney Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 What's even more stupid is the Driver Signing option in GPEdit DOESN'T WORK after installing the 2 updates. The option is still there in GPEdit but doesn't actually work.
ripken204 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 and now there are new updates that dont make it work anymore! does anyone know what they are?
ajua Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 i think MS is doing that with those updates to make a statement to those vendors which failed miserably to provide vista drivers in a timely fashion and the pressure of the customers on them instead of vista itself.
