It appears to me that M$ didn't bulid in the ICS option "Allow other network users to dial and hang up connection". As I'm still on dial-up (yeah, lame me), I find this option very useful, as I can't establish connection from the ICS client computer.

Otherwise, when I get online on ICS server (this machine w/ 2k3), it can normally browse the net.

Any solutions here? Third party software?

I don't think such function exists on W2K3 (at least here at work, we're on LAN) but i can give it a check home. And honestly, better get a proxy/firewall software, it'll be much better (but not necessarily easier) to handle

the function exist, and for me its in 'DSL connection'->properties->advanced
