Extended messages during logon

I made a nLite install of WindowsXP and I used one of the tweaks that enables extended messages during logon on the welcome screen (stuff like "Executing: c:\windows\....").

Is there a way to restore the defaults, without reinstalling Windows?

"To enable verbose status messages by using Registry Editor

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

To use enable verbose status messages by editing the registry, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.

3. Locate and then click the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

4. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

5. Type verbosestatus, and then press ENTER.

6. Double-click the new key that you created, type 1 in the Value data box, and then click OK.

7. Quit Registry Editor.

Note Windows does not display status messages if the following key is present and the value is set to 1:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\DisableStatusMessages"

I think if you set verbosestatus to 0 it will turn it off
