Egon's Dragon
Well anyway, Googling is like finding a needle in a haystack. I'm looking for something freeware, that specifically encrypts optical media. Is there anything good on sourceforge?
phkninja
There is no freeware app to do what you would like (as in create an encrypted Disk) directly, you could encrypt the information and use an iso creator program. Then you could click the iso file and burn (instead of manually clicking the files from within a buring program, if you make a cd image it might be easier). For example, write a batch file with a commandline encrytor program that encrypts the contents of the folder and also creates an iso from the folderegblowfish -e backup\*.*cdimage.exe -lBackup -x -h -o -oc -m -j1 .\backup .\backup.isothen runthe batch file every time you want to back up data
Egon's Dragon
What about TrueCrypt?
phkninja
Truecrypt makes an encrypted virtual filesystem.Creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk.Basically it creates something like an encrypted folder that contains all the encrypted data. But it requires truecrypt to mount he file as a drive. This could work on a cd-rw or dvd-rw (dont know, i never tried).
