Ixon
Hey,Kay this is my first slipstream CD ever. I put SP2 on it and a few hotfixes and all the tweaks and what not (no drivers). Basically for me if this worked it would be the perfect configuration out of the box. But anyways, everything went smooth from creating the ISO to burning it. But after I booted from the cd, created a partition, the partition formated then it restarted and showed the windows xp boot screen (I guess this was the installation process) it just locked up on the boot screen. I waited but nothing so I'm clueless.I'm thinking maybe possibly one of my settings screwed it up that I selected from the nLite list or it's just being a pain like Microsoft products tend to be.Help please!?cheers
mark strelecki
Hi, Ixon -Isn't new (to you) technology wonderful? The point that your lockup occurs may be due to a video initialization issue or mass storage (drive controller) problem. I suspect video 'cuz if it was the drive interface you'd receive a message like "cannot boot" or "no hard drive found" or similar.... Are you using SATA or SCSI or something other than IDE interfaces for the hard drive(s)?Try making your nLite-d CD with as FEW features removed as possible (like NONE initially) and see if that CD works for you. Let's see if we can't make you the newest fan of Nuhi's great WinLite product.Best wishes from an nLite Love in sunny and warm Atlanta, GA.
