I am hosting a website on Windows Server 2003 (Standard Edition) using a broadband connection. I can view my web page page from the server's web browser, using the website's domain name, but I can't view the my web page on a client machine. When I attempt to view the web page on the client machine, my DNS query is returned by the domain name registrar for that domain name. The server is located on a virtual machine (VM) and uses NAT to connect to the internet. How can I view my web page on a client machine with my current setup (i.e. with the server installed on a VM)?

If the server is behind a NAT connection. there needs to be 1 to 1 ip map. Not sure what you are using for VM but you need to find a way translate the address through the NAT'd connection.

why not just bridge the connection in the VM software. the only thing you are gaining by NAT'ing the connection is logical seperation of the 2 networks.. if there is no reason for this then I would just setup a bridged nic configuration in the VM
