BenoitRen Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I did some searching, but I can't make out what would be best to use. I'm looking for a free disk image utility that will allow me to create an image of my primary hard drive partition that I can restore whenever some s***ty software infects my Windows 95 with IE components, or things start getting cluttered.
XP-is-a-CRAP Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 (edited) WDE disk editor !!!Be warned: It is a DOS programm, it is 15 KB in size, and requires some tricks (LBACACHE) and some care when used. But it does what it should and is free Edited November 7, 2006 by XP-is-a-CRAP
BenoitRen Posted November 7, 2006 Author Posted November 7, 2006 I'm not afraid of DOS. What's this special trick and care you're talking about?
LLXX Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I wrote my own exact-sector copier Looks like the free version of http://www.disk-image.net/ can do everything the commercial version does except compressed images. Hmm...
