Kiki Burgh Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 (edited) hi! now that dotnet3 final is out, would HFSLIP support it just like it did to the previous versions? just asking ... For customers that already have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed, this .NET Framework 3.0 redistributable package installs only the new Windows Vista components. This ensures that any .NET Framework 2.0-based applications work seamlessly when the .NET Framework 3.0 is installed, with no application migration or updates of any kind required. ... maybe not! he! he! thanks! PVU Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 OT:Maybe most folks knew this, but, like IE7, .NET 3 won't work/install on Windows 2000.(Not so) Slowly but surely, Mr. Softie is killing Win2K. Besides the other neat little programs that are being developed with the latest .NETs, my proprietary office program is now written in .NET (1 for now). Sooner or later, a forced upgrade is in the works. It might be well before MS stops "updating" 2000 in 2010. Too bad. I STILL prefer 2000.
Kiki Burgh Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 OLD THREAD ...hi! just wanted to link this topic here as it discusses dotnet3 too (& how to create it ... for use with HFSLIP ): Silent .NET Maker (latest update: 20060121), Create silent switchless .NET installers for Win2K/XP/2K3 x86
