how do i apply custom logon screens?

i am enjoying the benefits of having modified themes and boot screens, but now I want to hit the logon screen!!! :)

I downloaded a few of the logons from themexp.org, they come in the form of an executable. Do I just run the file and that's it? What if I want to go back to my old logon screen?

so the uxtheme hack is only for themes? I was able to install a boot screen w/out styleXP. I guess I would just need it for the logon screen then.

Hrm .. need to reboot into safe mode to do it.

Is there a way i can get around this to change the boot logo during install?

Perhaps slipstream the ntoskrnl.exe file into XP Setup?

the one i downloaded (CIA boot) from themexp.org had an ntoskrnl already with the logo in it. All you do is rename it some thing else like ntoscia, copy to c:\win\sys32, add a line in the boot.ini and you're set. I am not home right now and have the step by step, but if you download a cia boot you'll have the full very wordy instructions! :)
