system policy editor (poledit) templates

Where can i find templates to run with the nt4 version of poledit for some of the xp options like removing the xp start menu.

AFAIK, Group Policy templates can't be opened in PolEdit. Some of the XP templates even can't be opened in the Windows 2000 Group Policy Editor.

how about just extra settings not xp specific

You can open most newer ADM files in NT4 poledit by first opening them in Notepad, and then saving them with ANSI encoding. You can also find NT4-compatible ADM files for XP if you google around a bit (hint: many of them are on samba-related sites, since Samba 3 emulates a NT4 domain controler).
